 The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) will collaborate with the Finance Ministry to employ 1 million low-income people (earning less than Bt100,000 a year) who have registered with the government to work in FTI member companies next year , Finance Minister Apisak Tantivorawong said yesterday.

The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC), Krung Thai Bank (KTB) and the Government Savings Bank (GSB) reported that a total of 893,581 low-income people had registered for government welfare as of 5pm on Tuesday.
